Publications of the museum include annual reports, 1932-1983; the BULLETIN containing articles about various aspects of New York City history, 1937-1942 and 1970-1983; JUNIOR BULLETIN, 1941-1983; OUR TOWN, a magazine geared toward visitors to New York City, 1959-1963; and articles which appear in HORIZON magazine about activities of the museum, 1984-1985; brochures, booklets and related material, and posters advertising the museum; specifications for the architectural plans of the building, 1929; reports and surveys about the museum's goals, activities, and building facilities; and news clippings concerning museum activities and press releases, 1982-1985. Also, photographs illustrating interior and exterior views of the museum including exhibits, architectural features, staff members, and museum functions; research filing cards for the permanent exhibition about Dutch life in early New York; lantern slides illustrating portrait paintings in the museum's collection; and statistical data compiled on index cards providing information about attendance, exhibits, acquisitions donated, staff, and trustees.
